Lend Us a Hand!

It's time to get this show on the road! We've spent the last few months gearing up to host a workshop, where we will build larger amounts of cars for the community of disabled children in Austin and educate the next generation of Project Zoom Zoom leadership. To prepare for this we need:

- Clients who want/need one of our cars! (at least one)

- Funding! Enough to cover the cost of our cars (at least $300)

- Volunteers! (at least us and PZZ future leadership)

To help achieve this we plan on hosting a PZZ meeting at LASA High School to gauge our volunteer base! In addition, we will request funds and potential clients if they know of any. The LASA parental community has been very generous of student's projects to better the community in the past and we are sure they will be happy to oblige once more.

However, this also represents a setback in our plan. We are running low on time and in order to have this workshop, we NEED more funds and clients!

Our outreach attempts continuously fall through, even if they seem foolproof, our project relies on participation from the outside world and it isn't cooperating.

We've had to realize as of late that at the moment our experience and publicity are not conducive to us getting a sustainable source of those resources (i.e. a corporate/foundation sponsor for funding, or a partnership with a school for disabled children or pediatric physical therapy office for clients. Our best bet for this first workshop is to continue to base our funding off of individual donations, and similarly to scout potential clients personally through individual connections. This is unfortunate, but is really our best option.

Moving forward, we're focusing on overcoming these obstacles to achieve our goals. This means that we will:

- Attempt to get an interview with Studio 512 on kxan for publicity (we are currently in contact)

- Plan and have our at-school Project Zoom Zoom meeting

- Reinestigate leads to potential client bases

- Investigate potential funding endevours that are quick and easy
